Styles: The Mysterious Affair at Styles and Curtain: Poirot's Last Case (HarperCollins, 2016)

In 2016—100 years after Agatha Christie began writing her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles (which was finally published in 1920)—HarperCollins released a handsome boxed set containing a new, hardcover edition of that Hercule Poirot whodunit, together with a hardback version of Christie’s final Poirot novel, Curtain (penned in about 1940, but not published until 1975). To provide cover art for both, HarperCollins commissioned Anglo-Scots painter and illustrator Tom Adams, who had created covers for numerous Christie works during the 1960s,’70s, and ’80s. Above is the exterior of that boxed set, while below are Adams’ covers, first, for Styles, and then for Curtain.
